My mom passed in February 2024, and my family said I needed to keep her house, renovate it and move in. After being strung along by one contractor and never receiving a 2nd follow-up with another one, I decided to check out a new contractor whose ads I had been seeing in our local paper. The first time I met Dusty, I thought "Oh My Lord...he's twelve! He can't know anything about renovation!" Boy, did he prove me wrong! He was just finishing up a renovation on a home laid out just like mine and wanted me to meet him there to see his work. I was blown away and impressed. His sub-contractors are so nice, the young man who did the tile work in my master bath shower and kitchen was out of this world (shout-out to Christian - thank you!). My kitchen and master bath cabinets are beautiful (shout out to Phil "the cabinet guy"). I honestly do not have enough room to tell you how amazing my mom's home looks now because of Dusty. He is honest, does what he says he's going to do, worked directly with me and listened to my concerns, changes and complaints....which were minimal in my mind. And I was truly sad when my interior renovation ended because I wouldn't be able to see Dusty's bright smile and contagious laugh on a regular basis. When Dusty from WSCR started to do the framing and deck work he noticed many items not do properly by the general contractor and brought them to my attention. He corrected them and helped me though the rest of the project. After the general contractor told me he had completed my house there were 47 items that needed to be corrected and I had WSCR complete them after trying to get the general contractor to complete them 3 times.
